The Boardrider Trunk is based on an early boardshort style from the 1960s. The colorway is inspired by a pair of trunks that Miki Dora wore in The Endless Summer (see the inspiration below). The trunk design is very true to its origins and borrows some good ideas from the last 60 years. Like the originals, the trunk is made of mostly cotton but is also blended with some nylon and elastic to make for quicker drying and better stretch. The button pocket closure and white contrasting trim are iconic details of 60s trunks.
The Boardrider Trunk is a homage to a time when boardshorts were shorter, classier, and so much more groovy. These are your grandpa's trunks!
